ABOUT US
The Lighthouse Club International:
The Lighthouse Club Asia Pacific Region was established in 1998 with the objectives of promoting the establishment of further branches and good fellowship between members and branches of the Lighthouse Club and coordinating the work of charitable assistance to persons connected with the construction industry in the Asia Pacific Region comprising Asia, Australasia, the Pacific Islands, North and South America. On 28th May 2016 the Lighthouse Club Asia Pacific Region resolved to change its name to “Lighthouse Club International” and further its objectives worldwide. This was formally adopted in a revised Constitution on 4th November 2017.
Lighthouse Club International is a non-political organisation supporting the construction industry worldwide through the promotion of good fellowship among its members and the provision of charitable assistance to distressed persons within the industry. 100% of all donations received go to helping those most in need.
Lighthouse Club Cambodia:
Lighthouse Club Cambodia was established in 2010, at a time when the Cambodian construction sector was seeing large international investments, developments and projects springing up country wide. As with all branches of the Lighthouse Club, the principal aim is to promote good fellowship in the industry and support those injured or in need within the sector. Additionally, the Lighthouse Club Cambodia has proudly sponsored more than 40 students since the club’s inception, financially supporting them throughout their education and allowing them to join the working world with a chance to develop and succeed in the construction industry.
Scholarships
Lighthouse Club Cambodia has now supported over 40 Cambodian students studying degrees relating to the construction industry.
Although we have already supported over 40 students, our work is not done yet! There are many more talented and smart individuals out there who need assistance in achieving their goals in the industry and we want to help!
If you know or are aware of anyone who requires assistance with attaining qualification or training, please download one of the form’s below and contact the Lighthouse Club Cambodia team at admin@lighthouseclubkh.com. We will do everything we can to help you throughout your application process.

Health & Safety
Safety Awards
In March 1996, at an event to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Hong Kong Branch of the Lighthouse Club, the first Lighthouse Club Safety Award was presented. This award was the result of a search for site foremen or work supervisors who, in the opinion of the Club, had made the most valuable contribution to site safety and awareness on their project. The first recipient of the award was Mr Lui You Fuk of Shinon Building Contractors. Since that day, The Lighthouse Club has bestowed that award every year to those who strive to ensure the safety and wellbeing of themselves, others and the project while working on site.
Golden Helmet Awards:
The Golden Helmet Award, established in 1999 is a series of challenges awarded to individuals in the construction industry. The award aims to provide inspiration and motivation to those on construction sites to treat Health & Safety and the potential dangers of construction as concrete issues which we know them to be. All sites have HSE requirements, but this award looks to highlight specific individuals who have gone above and beyond standard HSE protocols to help protect themselves, others, and the integrity of the site.
Awards:
The Golden Helmet: to an individual who has exemplified safety leadership within the/our industry
If you, or your organisation, can think of an individual who fits one of these descriptions and has played an important role in maintaining site safety, please contact admin@lighthouceclubkh.com to request an application form. These forms can be submitted with up to 3 pages of supporting evidence as to why your chosen individual deserves the award they were nominated for.”
Assistance
In a country such as Cambodia, it is often very easy for regulations and HSE enforcement to slip through the cracks and the results can often be catastrophic. A large makeup of the work force come from very impoverished backgrounds and see working on a construction site as a stable way to provide for their families. These workers will often travel hundreds of miles and remain separated from their loved ones for years at a time, maintaining long hours in difficult conditions such as extreme heat and poor equipment.
Because of this, the Lighthouse Club Cambodia is committed to supporting those individuals injured on site, who because of their injuries, are not able to finance medical costs or can no longer support their families. “
If you know or are aware of anyone who requires assistance with the payment of medical fees or family support as a result of injury, please download one of the form’s below and contact the Lighthouse Club Cambodia team at admin@lighthouseclubkh.com. We will do everything we can to help you throughout your application process.
Events
The events we run are the best way to meet and communicate with sponsors and donors to the Lighthouse Club. At all our events, our emphasis is on fun, to ensure that you and your clients or partners have a great time as well as raising contributions to the charity. It also allows our sponsors to see for themselves, how their contributions go to students and who they are helping to support. Putting faces to the cause is a sure way to ensure transparency with our sponsors and contributors and hopefully encourages them to re-affirm their commitment to the Lighthouse Club and the work we do here in Cambodia.
Future Events
8th Annual Charity Golf Tournament
Due to delays caused by Covid-19, we unfortunately missed out on last year’s annual golf day due to restriction put in place in the Kingdom. Fortunately, we were able to complete an event in January earlier this year.
After such an historic event for the Lighthouse Club Cambodia, where we raised our highest total for the charity to date, as well as a public demand for more golf days hosted by the Lighthouse Club, we have decided to organise an additional golf day later this year.
We believe that this event now has a foothold in the Cambodian social calendar as a great day out, but also as a great opportunity for players, many of whom work in the construction sector, to engage with a charity close to their industry.
Support us / Get Involved
At the Lighthouse Club, we are always looking to expand our talented and committed team. At present, we have 7 committee members who all contribute hours and effort to the organisation, allowing the Lighthouse Club to plan events, gatherings, and media opportunities.
However, our team is not complete. We are always looking for the support of Construction Industry professionals willing to volunteer their time to help to grow the charity. If you work in the construction industry and would like to contribute some time to the Lighthouse Club, please contact admin@lighthouseclubkh.com.

Join Membership
By becoming a member of the Lighthouse Club, you will be joining the Lighthouse Club International. In the interest of transparency, we can assure you that 100% of all contributions made by you, or your company will be provided to the Lighthouse Club International. The Lighthouse Club Cambodia is a subsidiary of the Lighthouse Club International branch. Donations and membership fees are collected by International and then redistributed to all our branches across the world. Any contribution is used to tackle the same issues we face here in Cambodia, but on a global platform. This allows us to reach more countries and more people in need.
Membership of Lighthouse Club International provides opportunities for companies and individuals alike to be recognized as proactive supporters of safety in the construction industry and the provision of financial assistance to those less fortunate who are related to the construction industry and are directly affected by accidents and illness both locally and internationally. Lighthouse Club International raises funds to assist those in need by providing financial aid to distressed families within the construction industry and assistance with the education of their children. It also actively promotes construction site safety through the presentation of safety awards to individuals and organizations who have made significant contributions to the improvement of safety on their projects.
Membership of Lighthouse Club International is therefore the vehicle of choice for companies associated with the construction industry wishing to demonstrate their contributions to Corporate Social Responsibility within their industry.
Lighthouse Club International has Branch Members and/or Individual and Corporate Members and/or Lighthouse Club groups in Australia, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, the United Kingdom/Ireland and Vietnam. It provides reciprocal membership benefits between branches, whether informal or formally established, for visiting Individual Members or nominees of Corporate Members and upon relocation, as well as close connections to the Lighthouse Clubs in the Netherlands and the Middle East.
Individual Members and the nominees of Corporate Members are provided with The Lighthouse quarterly magazine which provides news of the activities of the Lighthouse Club and articles of interest to all those involved in the local and international construction industries.
If you would like to make a commitment to the Lighthouse Club, as a student or as a captain of industry, please follow the link below to see what type of membership would best suit you or your organisation. There are many to choose from Student Memberships to Gold, Silver and Bronze.
Sponsor a Student
If you would like to sponsor a student, the Lighthouse Club Cambodia provides options to do just that. We have attached here a breakdown of our costs to send one student, studying a construction related degree, to university for one year. These costs also include a living allowance which we pay to students monthly to support them with their studies, purchasing equipment and other educational resources.
A one-off donation could be instrumental in providing these students with the resources they need to complete their education.
